Fairfax County Homebuyer Programs

For those who are in the process of purchasing their first home, many options are available from Closing Cost Assistance Programs to FHA Loans.  Recently, I was introduced to the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) Homebuyer Education course that is routinely given at various locations in Fairfax County.  THe course is 6 hours long and consists of different topics such as mortgage financing, home inspections, tax benefits, and basic terminology.  One of the very few requirements for this class is the completion of a Spending Plan that needs to be finished prior to the start of the class.  This class is also mandatory for any Fairfax County Home Buyer's Programs but it will come in handy with any home purchase in Northern Virginia or Washington DC.
If anyone requires anymore information, please don't hesitate to contact me here.
